Meghan Markle Called ‘Most Entitled and Disingenuous’: Here’s Why

Meghan Markle has been criticized as the "most entitled and disingenuous" person, a claim made alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

In a conversation with Vanity Fair, a Montecito resident voiced their disapproval, noting that Meghan’s upcoming luxury lifestyle brand shares its name with the affluent California area where the couple now resides.

For those unfamiliar, Montecito is often referred to as "The American Riviera." The resident explained, “It’s such a kind of hucksterism. It’s just finding every way she can to monetize something.”

The same individual continued, stating, “I still think they’re the most entitled, disingenuous people on the planet.”

Similar opinions were echoed by Elaine Lui, a celebrity commentator behind Lainey Gossip. She shared her thoughts on the couple in the same Vanity Fair cover story.

Lui pointed out, “They moved away from England to get away from the scrutiny of the press, and all they do is try and get in the press in the United States.”

However, she also acknowledged the complexity of the Sussexes’ desire for privacy, adding, “All celebrities do this. ‘Don’t take photos of me,’ they say, yet still step out conveniently to get papped.”

She further commented on the broader celebrity culture, highlighting how some demand favorable media coverage while rejecting criticism. “Some celebrities will say, ‘Only give me good reviews of my movie or my album. And if you don’t like my music, I’m gonna post on Instagram that you’re a terrible reviewer,’” she noted before concluding her thoughts.

This criticism adds to the ongoing debate surrounding the couple’s media presence and their efforts to balance privacy with public exposure.
