These actresses were encouraged to shave their hair to play various characters

Celebrities change their looks for various reasons: from personal taste to script requirements. While many of these makeovers seem radical, never more so than those actresses who have been encouraged to shave their heads for a character. Some did it flush and others left their hair very short. But in all cases, although in the case of an extreme look, they have carried it with a lot of styles.

Karen Gillan 

The actress who plays Nebula in the Marvel movies shaved her head for her first appearance in "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014).

Kristen Stewart 

Although she didn't shave her head close…almost. Stewart got this extreme haircut in 2017 for the filming of "Underwater", a film that will only be released in 2020.

Angelina Jolie 

There was a project for which Angelina Jolie abandoned her classic long hair. It was in 1998 for the film "Gia". Her portrayal of model Gia Carangi earned her a Golden Globe.
