Steve McQueen, is more than just a style icon

Talking about Steve McQueen is undoubtedly talking about something more than a style icon, one of those people whose legend has only increased over the years.

His elegant and refined style and at the same time his most rebellious and casual style marked an entire era and still does so. To verify this, you only have to take a look at the number of lines of accessories, accessories, t-shirts, and other garments based on the great Steve, an inexhaustible source of style and, it seems, also of income for many firms.

That is why in Mensencia we are going to review those garments and accessories that the famous actor catapulted to fame and today are almost a cult object for many, and also the novelties that come for this season also with Steve McQueen as protagonist.

Sunglasses Persol 714

Steve McQueen, is more than just a style icon

If there is an accessory that Steve McQueen made his own, it was undoubtedly the Persol glasses with the blue lenses, specifically the Persol 714 model that had the peculiarity of folding in half.

These glasses were worn for the first time in the film The Thomas Crown Secret (1968) and since then he made them his own, using them in countless films and public appearances.

Currently, the Italian firm Persol relaunches this model from time to time, undoubtedly its iconic glasses par excellence along with the 649, which are identical but not folded.

Tag Heuer retro helmet

Tag Heuer also launched a few months ago this curious helmet inspired, like the watch, in the movie Le Mans where Steve McQueen was at the controls of a Porsche 911S.

As you can see, it wears the same colors that the legendary actor wore in his overalls during filming, as well as having that retro touch that makes it even more striking. Its price is not exactly retro, about 500 euros.
