Britney Spears’ ex-husband arrested for stalking

 Britney Spears's ex-husband, Jason Alexander, was arrested on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, for stalking. The arrest comes just over a year after Alexander was arrested for trying to crash Spears' wedding to Sam Asghari.

According to TMZ, Alexander was arrested in Williamson County, Tennessee. He is currently being held in the Williamson County Jail.

The arrest warrant for Alexander alleges that he "willfully, maliciously, and repeatedly follow, harass, and cyberstalk" Spears. The warrant also alleges that Alexander "contacted [Spears] by telephone and/or in person, and/or through the internet or any electronic communication device."

This is not the first time that Alexander has been arrested for stalking Spears. In January 2022, he was arrested for aggravated stalking and violating an existing restraining order. He was released on bail after posting $30,000.

It is unclear what prompted Alexander's latest arrest. However, it is likely that his repeated attempts to contact Spears have led to the charges against him.

Spears has not yet commented on Alexander's arrest. However, her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, said in a statement that he is "thankful to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department for their prompt and professional handling of this matter."

"We are working closely with law enforcement to ensure Mr. Alexander is fully and forcefully prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Rosengart said.

Alexander is scheduled to appear in court on August 8, 2023.
