The teenage sagas have a new addition to Amazon Prime Video with 'My Fault', the first adaptation of Mercedes Ron's novels. We tell you all the details of the movie.

Literary adaptations always offer added interest to the pleasure of enjoying a movie or series. For those who have immersed themselves in the pages of the original work, it is exciting to find the adaptation of its characters, to put a face and a voice on them. 

But the usual thing is that audiovisual fiction also works independently of the text on which it is based. That is why it is one of the genres of permanent growth in the audiovisual industry, with constant premieres such as Lady Macbeth or Molly Moon in movies, or Jack Ryan, The Man in the High Castle or Mozart in the Jungle, among the series (all available on Amazon Prime Video).

For this reason, when the platforms announce a new adaptation project, the expectation rises to unimaginable heights, even more so when it comes to a teenage best seller. That is the case of the latest Amazon Prime Video production, which intends to compare its next release with the success achieved on Netflix by Through my window. 

His bet is the Culpables trilogy, written by Mercedes Ron. The streaming company's plan is to adapt the three novels to launch them directly from its catalog, starting with the film Culpa mía, which will premiere on the platform on June 8.

The story of Culpa mía begins by discovering Noah, a young woman who must leave her city, her boyfriend, and her friends to move into the mansion of William Leister, the new and rich husband of her mother Rafaela. At 17, she is a proud and independent woman, and she resists living in a mansion surrounded by luxury. 

Everything changes when she meets Nick, her new stepbrother who, behind the image of a model son, hides a life of fights, gambling, and illegal car racing. Despite the abyss that separates them, they both begin to feel an irresistible attraction that soon turns into pure fire and unbridled passion.

 Neither the continuous rivalry between the two nor the opposition to their environment will prevent them from ending up lost and secretly in love. But Nick's troubled present coupled with Noah's stormy past will test both their lives and their forbidden love.
