How Jennifer Aniston has managed to be the most loved actress in Hollywood
She turns 51 at the BEST time of her life. And not just for what you think.
She became a television icon in the 90s thanks to the Friends series and today, the day Jennifer Aniston turns 51, we can say that she is enjoying ONE of the best moments of her life.
Her path has not been easy since Jen has had to see how half the world felt sorry for her when Brad Pitt left her for Angelina Jolie or how the Rachel Green syndrome followed her to unexpected extremes.
1: Play Alex Levy in the series The morning show:
We are talking about a super character, that of the presenter of a morning show on one of the most important North American television networks in the country and who changes completely when her partner is fired after being accused of se*ual harassment.
Alex Levy's interpretation of her is so good that Jennifer Aniston won the SAG for Best Actress a few weeks ago over heavyweights like Helena Bonham Carter or Olivia Colman.
During her speech, the actress spoke of how grateful she felt to the creators of the series for having made them interpret "such ugly, complex and yet beautifully human characters and for forcing us to delve into our own experiences and that have made seven months of therapy pay off. If you haven't seen it yet, The Morning Show is available on Apple TV.
2: Claim yourself as an independent and happy woman... even if you don't have a partner
For a long time, Jennifer was considered "America's suffering sweetheart", something like "America's unhappy girlfriend", especially after her divorce from Brad Pitt.
After several relationships, including with Vince Vaughn, with whom she co-starred in the movie The Break-Up, and later with the musician John Mayer, the actress met another of the men in her life, Justin Theroux, with whom, after two years and a half married and seven in a relationship, announced their separation in February 2018.
But Jen, instead of making a drama out of it, opted for a positive and exemplary attitude. "I don't feel empty. My marriages have been very successful and when they came to an end, it was a decision made because we chose to be happy.
At the end of the day, this is our only life and I wouldn't stay in a situation just out of fear, for fear of being alone, fear of not being able to survive. Continuing in a marriage just out of fear is like underestimating your life," she explained in an interview.
3: Always say what you think... without worrying about what they will say
In 2016 she wrote a column in The Huffington Post in which she said that she was fed up with the press continually making up that she was pregnant. "We don't need to be married or mothers to be complete" were some of the sentences we could read.
For a long time, and while she ** was married to Justin Theroux **, it was speculated that the actress was going to have a child thanks to a surrogate and in the same clinic that famous people like Nicole Kidman or Ricky Martin attended.
Jennifer returned to the charge and fed up with the pressures, she was very clear about it. "Having a child is not a matter that matters to anyone, except the couple or the individual who decided it.
A woman can be happy and feel complete without being married or without being a mother." Another sample of her freedom was when she won the SAG. Aniston surprised everyone with a satin dress without a bra where she winked at her stage in Friends and that became a whole lesson in body positivity.
And, of course, a lesson in courage when it comes to showing off her body without complexes at 50 years of age.
